I am a North Carolina native, who settled in Asheville in 2015. I am happily married to the love of my life and I have five beautiful children. When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my family and exploring the Western North Carolina area.
I graduated from the University of North Carolina Charlotte in 2004 with a BA in History and spent the next 7 years working as an educator. It was during that time that God began to move in a mighty way and shifted my prospective from teaching to counseling. I entered the Masters program at Liberty University to persue my degree in Professional Counseling. I graduated with my MA in 2011. Since that time I have worked in the mental health field and have had the opportunity to gain professional licensure with the state of North Carolina.
Throughout my life I have become so aware of the importance of having someone who will listen, someone who will offer compassion without judgment. Throughout my career I have strived to place that understanding in focus as I worked with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, personality disorders, and the lifelong pains of trauma.
My belief is in the ultimate healer, Jesus Christ. My goal is to walk alongside those who are experiencing the pain of living in a fallen world and point them to the Word of God which applies to all of life.
